Once the first three enemies are down, sprint ahead in a larger area to find even more enemies. If you need to parry their attacks, press LS_Forward + X (by 'forward' I mean towards the enemy that is attacking you): if you time it right you will parry the hit, and if you time it even better you will also have a chance for a counter attack. These guys are no match for you: just spam a barrage of light attacks with X and they'll be dead before you know it. Missable achievements (1x): Steel Tail (cut the tail of the boss during the first boss fight).Īs soon as the game starts you need to face three simple enemies, known as 'Cyborgs'. Remember that for obvious reasons the name of the main bosses will be pointed out in this page don't read ahead, just to avoid spoiler issues. Don't worry though, there is more than enough info in this page to learn everything you want to know on your first playthrough. Some basic tips in harder fights and boss fights will be provided of course, but for more in-depth strategies you should check the S Ranking page instead. In this page there won't be many fighting tips and references, assuming that you do not want to aim for S-Ranking on your first run through (which is what I suggest: S-Ranking becomes much easier on second playthroughs). My suggestion is to use the text walkthrough (and the images associated to it), checking out the videos just in case the text and pictures are not enough. In addition to this, in the text walkthrough there will be pictures associated with every collectible. For practical reasons though, the videos do NOT include the lengthy Codec Conversations, which are only summarized in the text walkthrough. The videos also cover the mission-specific achievements. In the video description of the videos (on YouTube) you will find an index of the collectibles, so you can simply click on the corresponding time of the video to skip directly where the collectible is displayed.

Regarding the video, it's a complete walkthrough of the level, which shows the location of all the collectibles available. Note that the random consumable item pick-ups are not covered in the maps (they would create too much confusion), but the most important items (such as the EM Grenades) will be pointed out in the text walkthrough. The map is what you would expect from a map: just like your in-game mini-map (top-right corner of the screen also known as 'soliton radar') it shows the locations that you visit, except that on the maps provided here the collectibles position have been pointed out.

Each of the missions/files will start with a summary, where is included a map and a collectibles video for the file. All the eight missions in which the game is divided are covered separately.
